What is a microneedling facial?
Microneedling facial is a treatment that involves the use of a microneedling pen, to create controlled micro-injuries. The treatment is used to stimulate the body’s natural healing process. It is used for improving the appearance of fine wrinkles, skin texture, wide pores and very mild acne scars.
Microneedling facial is often used in combination with topical serums or with PRP, also known as the ‘vampire facial’, for synergistic effect to stimulate the collagen production, stimulate cell regeneration, and improve overall skin health.
The steps involved in a microneedling facial are:
Step 1 : Skin cleansing
Step 2: Application of numbing cream to help reduce any discomfort (optional):
Step 3 : Treatment with microneedling pen
Step 4 : Application of serum or topical treatment, like hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, or PRP
Step 5: Mask and/or LED
What is the difference between Microneedling Facial and Genius MRF (Microneedling RadioFrequency ) treatment?
The Microneedling Facial is very different form Genius Microneedling Radiofrequency treatment and the results are not comparable.
Microneedling with a pen is a mechanical technique that uses tiny needles to create controlled injuries in the skin, while Genius microneedling radiofrequency is a combination of microneedling and RF energy that delivers both mechanical and heat-based stimulation in the skin for rejuvenation purposes.
The heat generated by the Genius will have a much higher effect on skin tightening and scar treatment compared to a microneedling pen.
