What is Radiesse® ?
Radiesse is a dermal filler made of calcium hydroxyapatite suspended in a gel carrier. It works by adding volume to the skin and stimulating collagen production.
When injected into the skin, the calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres act as a scaffold to support the growth of new collagen, which provides a long-lasting and natural-looking result. The filler also provides an immediate plumping effect due to the gel, smoothing out wrinkles and folds in the skin. Calcium hydroxyapatite filler is 100% biocompatible and will resorb completely. Over time, the body gradually absorbs the calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres, leaving behind the newly-formed collagen to maintain the results.
What is Radiesse® filler used for?
Injections of Radiesse®, are used for various purposes :
- facial contouring, such as enhancing cheekbones or jawline,
- filling in deep wrinkles and folds,
- adding volume to certain areas of the face
- correction of skin laxity in face and neck
Radiesse® is also used for correction of skin laxity in various body areas; like neck, arms or abdomen. It works by stimulation of collagen production in skin. There is a synergy between the use of Genius MRF and Radiesse® injections for body skin tightening
What is HarmonyCa®?
HarmonyCa® is a hybrid filler made of the combination of hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite. The advantage of a hybrid filler is that it can provide a customized treatment for a particular patient’s needs, by combining the benefits of different filler materials. What is HarmonyCa® filler used for?

How does a treatment proceeds?
The treatment with Radiesse® or Harmonyca® involves injecting the filler material into the skin using a cannula.
The treatment takes an average of 30 to 60 minutes and the effect is immediately visible.
The fillers used contain a local anaesthetic, which makes the injections less painful. If necessary, a topical anaesthetic cream can be applied before the treatment.
How long does the effects last?
The results of Radiesse® or a HarmonyCa® treatment can last on average anywhere from 12 to 18 months, depending on the amount of product used.
